A Nutritional Twist on the Instant Noodle Soup Craze
The Happy Planet Group is a mother/daughter duo company dedicated to combining ancient superfoods from around the planet with modern flavors to spread health and nutrition to an American market. They have two sub-brands: MiSO Good—a line of organic miso soups and condiments, and OhSo Tasty—a line of flavorful soups created with a sea vegetable noodle called Kanten. Happy Planet Group hired Crème de Mint to help them create a fresh web design for their food and beverage brand as well as marketing materials.
OhSo Tasty instant soups are created using a 400-year-old noodle-making process, fused into modern cuisine. The soups contain prebiotics, promoting gut health. They’re ready in one minute or less.
The brand is aimed at nutrition-focused millennials who are interested in easy, wholesome, GMO-free cooking solutions. They wanted to sell in specialty markets and mainstream grocery stores, eventually expanding online. They needed a food and beverage web design packaging and trade show marketing materials to help them communicate the benefits of their products and secure relationships with vendors.

We created 3D mockups of the brand’s packaging, providing strong product images to use in the instant soup website design and in the marketing materials.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
We created a warm and welcoming food and beverage web design for the instant soup brand. The images reflect the products’ ease of use—you can enjoy a cup of OhSo Tasty while lounging around reading or even doing homework. The website also showcases the packaging, captivating attention with the rich colors.
We also wrote the copy—we created the tagline “Noodles that Nourish,” a healthy twist on the popular instant noodle trend. We also created the brand’s tagline, “So Tasty. So Easy. So Good,” which communicated the ease of the product and the delicious flavor. The copy on the food and beverage web design focuses on the products’ health benefits, promising an alternative to traditional instant soups. We also created the brand story for the website based on interviews with the founding duo.
Later, in a second phase of the project, we updated the original design, editing and adding a video into the hero section to highlight the wholesome nature of the products. The video features the appetizing product, the real ingredients, and the natural origins of the brand.
OhSo Tasty also needed to stand out at trade shows. We created eye-catching, appealing designs to help them stand out and market their product to potential vendors.
The banners command attention and position the products as flavorful instant noodle soups that align with growing food trends (keto diet, digestive health, and gluten-free dietary needs).
The tabletop designs use the hand-drawn vegetable icons to evoke freshness and flavor. It also sheds light on additional product benefits—with OhSo Tasty, you can be full for hours from instant soup ready in seconds, without overloading on calories and carbs.
The sell sheets and FAQ sheets communicate the unique nature of the products to potential vendors and provide guidance on how to merchandise the soups.
Our designs set the stage for a successful launch of the brand, representing the rich flavors, wholesome ingredients, and nutritional benefits. We also worked on branding elements for the parent company, Happy Planet Group, and their other sub-brand, MiSOGood.
The marketing materials for OhSO Tasty captured the essence of the brand and resonated with potential vendors, allowing the brand to form partnerships and expand.
