The Challenge: Cosmetic Packaging Design for a Valentine’s Day Promo

Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy was a popular duo fragrance line. As part of the Victoria’s Secret design team, I created the cosmetic packaging design for Very Sexy’s Valentine’s Day promotion. The goal was to create bold, playful gift set packaging that caught the eye and commanded attention. We also designed a giftable coin purse to go with the holiday fragrance gift set.

The Project

Gift Set Design: Very Sexy for Her

Cosmetic packaging design for Victoria's Secret Very Sexy For Her in pink, silver, red, with polka dots, diagonal stripes, and heart icons.

For this set, we created three gift set packages in shades of deep pink, silver, red, and baby pink (a fun play on Valentine’s Day colors). The playful polka dots designs, bold diagonal stripes, and dark metallic heart icons were eye-catching and visually appealing. Then, we added flashes of metallic silver across each package for a touch of sophistication. I also designed a striped coin purse in pink and deep red to accompany the set—it was subtle enough for everyday use but still tied into the Valentine’s theme.

Gift Set Design: Very Sexy for Him

Cosmetic packaging design for Victoria's Secret Very Sexy For Him in silver and red with polka dots, diagonal stripes, and heart icons.

For this one, we wanted the Very Sexy for Him set to complement the for Her set while evoking a masculine feel. So, for this set we used bolder, broader, stronger dots and stripes. In addition, the deep red and maroon colors maintained the romance and Valentine’s fun but presented a less feminine look.

The Results

As a result, our gift set designs laid the foundation for a profitable Valentine’s promotion for the company, establishing a cohesive look inspired by romance.
