The Challenge: Web Design for Styling Tools
HauteHouse is a beauty brand that produces cutting-edge hair styling tools based on its specially-formulated proprietary technology. One of their sub-brands, AbsolutHeat, is a unique line of high-powered and high-performance professional styling tools. Crème de Mint provided revamped web design for the styling tools brand that was as strong and captivating as its products, along with new package designs that aligned with the updated brand image.
The original website lacked sophistication and elegance. Furthermore, it didn’t exude the high-end feel that highlighted the brand’s technological innovation and unmatched product designs. To illustrate, the bright colors, rounded typeface, and laidback layout of the product images felt too casual and kitschy.
We redesigned the website and created a presentation to evoke the same high-end feel as Marc Jacobs and Kate Spade. As a result, the new design is sleek and professional, more likely to appeal to high-end salon owners and stylists.
The updated images highlight the product in a more upscale fashion. Also, the dark colors create a sense of elegance and power, representing the strength of the high-performance products. Finally, the crisp typeface is smooth and polished, aligning with the essence of the brand.
As a result of our work, AbsolutHeat had a responsive, graceful redesign that aligned with the brand’s vision and image. The web presence also opened the door for the brand to market to elite hair stylists and high-end salons.
